What to Expect from Therapy

The relationship between the client and the therapist is built on mutual respect and trust. Once you’ve taken the first step to seek out counselling, the second step is finding the right counsellor.

Finding a counsellor in Wirral that you can connect with is one of the most important aspects of therapy. We recommend booking a free consultation with us so you can talk to one of our therapists and find out if they are the right therapist for you.

The free consultation will allow you to ask any questions you might have about counselling, and we will learn more about you and what brought you to counselling.

If, after the initial consultation, you don’t feel like you connected with any of our counsellors, you are under no obligation whatsoever to continue to have counselling sessions.

We want your therapy to be a success, and finding the right counsellor is a big part of that.

How much does Private Counselling in Wirral Cost?

The cost of private counselling sessions varies between £35 – £75 per session. The cost per session is dependent upon a client’s income, disability, session time and therapist, etc.

Discounts are available to pensioners, students, and the unemployed.

Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.

How many Counselling Sessions do I need?

We offer long-term and short-term counselling services. However, the number of counselling sessions required will vary from person to person. A person who needs some relationship counselling might not need as many sessions as someone who needs bereavement counselling. Our free consultation will give us a chance to learn more about you and agree upon how many sessions you think will be right for you.

Once you have decided upon how many sessions you think will be right for you, your counselling journey will begin. Your counselling sessions will continue to be reviewed and discussed throughout the course of your therapy so that we can monitor your progress and make sure we are both happy with the direction you’re moving in.

We have regular review points throughout your journey with us to find out whether it’s appropriate to shorten or lengthen the number of sessions. We can discuss this together, and you can decide what you would like to do moving forward.
